Initially beginning his career as a software developer, Yoav found his niche in growth and strategy, and has since generated over $2 billion in revenue for clients across AI, SaaS, and web3 sectors.

Yoav has over nine years’ experience in the web3 space, holding leadership, advisory, and board positions, including as Head of Performance Marketing at SuperRare Labs, Advisor at Kokomo Games, and most recently as the VP Growth & GM of Sotheby’s web3 initiatives.

Prior to embarking on his web3 journey, Yoav worked with the likes of Ford, Bayer, Johnson & Johnson, Avis Budget Group, Nestlé, HSBC, Kellogg’s, Unilever, and Facebook, helping them execute integrated digital transformation projects and innovative technology initiatives.

Additionally, Yoav has published several business books that detail strategies related to growth, technology, and digital transformation. He also frequently publishes articles discussing these topics on Medium.

Strengthening the AVA Ecosystem & Token Demand

The AVA Foundation is excited to announce the launch of the AVA Buyback Program to boost the growth of the AVA ecosystem. This powerful new initiative will further align AVA token reserves with the Foundation’s and our partners’ confidence in AVA’s long-term potential while aiming to generate greater demand and value for AVA.

Each month, the AVA Foundation will purchase AVA tokens on the open market equivalent to the USD value of all the AVA giveback rewards distributed to Smart members for travel bookings in the previous month. These AVA tokens will be bought using stablecoins received from Travala.com as part of their partnership with the AVA Foundation. The purchased tokens will be held in the Ecosystem Incentives Wallet, further supporting the ecosystem’s growth.

In the past 6 months alone, over 1,000,000 AVA tokens have been distributed in giveback rewards via the AVA Smart Program to Smart members, the majority of which have been held or used for bookings on the Travala.com platform. Going forward, tokens distributed as giveback rewards will be repurchased by the AVA Foundation as part of the AVA Buyback Program, driving sustained demand and growth for the AVA token.

This initiative further solidifies the synergies between the AVA Foundation and Travala.com, strengthening AVA’s utility, increasing AVA’s role within the ecosystem, and providing long-term benefits to the community resulting from ongoing demand for the AVA token.

With the number of Smart members growing and booking volumes on Travala setting new records, givebacks—one of AVA’s most enduring use cases—now incorporates a strong demand and supply mechanic to provide a sustainable and balanced approach to use incentivization and reward distribution.

As Travala.com continues to expand, the total AVA rewards distributed each month will grow exponentially. This will translate to an even greater amount of AVA tokens issued as givebacks, increasing the total volume of tokens repurchased by the AVA Foundation. As a result, the program will scale in parallel with our partner platform’s growth, generating greater demand for AVA tokens while strengthening the entire ecosystem.

The first monthly buyback equal to 182,866 AVA was completed based on the USD value of the token givebacks distributed to all Smart members between 1-30 November 2024. Ambassador Bonus

The Ambassador Bonus is a quarterly Travel Credit reward. Travel Credits can be likened to travel loyalty points that are denominated in USD (i.e. 1 Travel Credit = 1 USD). Travel Credits can be used to purchase any flight, hotel or activity available on Travala.com. The total Ambassador Bonus distributed between the 2,000 Travel Tiger NFTs is equivalent to 2% of the quarterly booking volume of Travala.com.

To receive the Ambassador Bonus, you must:

1. hold an active Diamond membership by the final day of the previous calendar quarter (e.g. by 31st March to participate in April’s Ambassador Bonus); AND
2. complete Contributor Tasks during the first two weeks of each new calendar quarter (i.e. January, April, July, October).

Contributor Tasks aim to grow the AVA and Travala.com ecosystems by having members perform specific tasks, usually on social media.

Upon completion of the Contributor Tasks, Diamond members will need to claim their Travel Credit rewards during the two-week claim period.

In addition to the essential Contributor Tasks that guarantee the Ambassador Bonus, there are extra tasks which may be optionally completed to win further Travel Credit prizes.

BOOST WITH MULTIPLE NFTs: For each additional Travel Tiger NFT in your wallet connected to your Travala.com account, you’ll receive an additional Ambassador Bonus reward. For example, a Diamond member with two Travel Tiger NFTs will receive twice the amount of Travel Credits than a Diamond member with one Travel Tiger NFT.

NOTE: additional NFTs must be in the same wallet connected to your Travala.com account by the final day of the previous calendar quarter to receive the Ambassador Bonus for the elapsed quarter. No additional Contributor Tasks need to be completed for each additional connected NFT, provided the Travel Tiger NFTs are connected to the one Travala.com account.

AVA Smart Bonus

The AVA Smart Bonus is a quarterly reward in the AVA token calculated on the amount of your locked AVA in the AVA Smart Program. The current AVA Smart Bonus rate for Diamond members is 20% per year (15% for all other Smart membership tiers).

The AVA Smart Bonus follows the same quarterly schedule as the Ambassador Bonus, including the requirement to hold an active membership by the final day of the previous calendar quarter, as well as a two-week Contributor Task period followed by a two-week claim period.

There are two ways to qualify for the AVA Smart Bonus:

1. Contributor Tasks: Diamond members who complete the Contributor Tasks as part of the Ambassador Bonus (see previous section) will automatically qualify to claim the AVA Smart Bonus.
2. AVA Minimum Spend: Alternatively, Diamond members can qualify for the AVA Smart Bonus by spending at least US$50 in AVA on the Travala.com platform in the previous quarter. Any product available to purchase with AVA on Travala.com will contribute to this requirement, including completed travel bookings (inclusive of flights, hotels and activities), Travel Credit purchases, or Travel Gift Card purchases.

NOTE: additional NFTs must be in the same wallet connected to your Travala.com account by the final day of the previous calendar quarter to receive the AVA Smart Bonus for the elapsed quarter. Any travel bookings that are refunded or not yet completed by the end of the applicable quarter will NOT count towards the AVA minimum spend requirement for that quarter. Meeting the AVA minimum spend does not qualify members for the Ambassador Bonus. The AVA Smart Bonus rate is subject to change based on community voting. Read more here

BOOST WITH MULTIPLE NFTs: For each additional Travel Tiger NFT in your wallet connected to your Travala.com account, you’ll be able to lock up to an extra 2,500 AVA. For example, four Travel Tiger NFTs in the connected wallet would enable up to 7,500 extra AVA tokens to be locked (in addition to the existing 2,500 AVA already locked to activate the Smart Diamond membership) for a total of 10,000 locked AVA. This would attract an AVA Smart Bonus of 2,000 AVA per year (10,000 AVA x 20%), provided the requirements are met each quarter. Up to 10% Givebacks

Diamond members get up to 10% back in AVA or Bitcoin on all travel bookings. These rewards are paid directly to your Travala.com account wallet within 24 hours of completing your trip.

The reward percentage you receive depends on the type of travel you book:

• 10% back on all hotels
• 10% back on all activities
• 3% back on all flights

The giveback amount is calculated on the final booking price less any applicable service fees and taxes. Giveback rewards may be used to make purchases on Travala.com, boost other Diamond perks, or on external platforms.

Travel Drops

Travel drops are luxury travel giveaways that take place several times throughout the year and are exclusive to Diamond members. These are once-in-a-lifetime travel experiences curated by the Travala.com team and include accommodation, activities and a flight budget.

Previous travel drops include an unforgettable luxury getaway in the Maldives, an all-access VIP Singapore Grand Prix experience, a package featuring tickets to the Super Bowl LVII, and many more.

The winner is selected at random from all issued Travel Tiger NFTs. The prize is then attached to the winning Travel Tiger NFT’s metadata and can be sold on the secondary market, enabling users to make offers for the prize if the winner does not wish to (or cannot) utilise the prize.

In addition to the regular travel drops, Founders Edition Travel Tiger NFT holders are also entered into extra travel drops exclusive to the issued Founders Edition Travel Tiger NFTs.

Airdrops

Diamond members receive guaranteed participation in all airdrops of early-stage token partner projects. Diamond members receive access to Travala.com’s luxury Concierge.io personalised travel service for bookings over US$20,000 in value. As an exclusive, elite service dedicated to crafting memorable experiences, a minimum upfront commitment of US$100,000 is typically required to join the service without a Diamond membership.

The Concierge service includes full access to your own personal travel manager who will work with you to plan your perfect escape—including travel, accommodation, activities and dining—based entirely on your interests. You will also receive access to thousands of luxury products, such as private jets, yachts, private islands, exclusive dining experiences, and more. The team is available to chat 24/7 through your preferred communication service, whether it be Telegram, WhatsApp, phone, or email.

Marriott Bonvoy Points

Diamond members can earn Marriott Bonvoy points for Marriott International hotel bookings over US$1,000 via Travala.com’s Concierge service. When a qualifying booking is made via the Concierge service, points are credited directly to the member’s existing Marriott Bonvoy account, which are redeemable on the Marriott International website.

This perk enables Diamond members to access Concierge travel agents at a significantly lower price point than the $20,000 minimum booking amount mentioned in the Concierge Access section above.

NFT Offering Mechanics

This limited NFT release will be launched as part of the same Travel Tiger Club collection alongside the original Founders Edition pieces, conferring the same benefits as Founders Edition pieces. These Travel Tiger NFTs will not include the “Founders Edition” rarity trait, and will therefore not be entitled to the new and exclusive Founders Edition perks that will be introduced, such as exclusive bonus travel drops and merch packs.

The first NFT offering will be available to Diamond members only, with the second offering available to Platinum members only. Minting during both offerings will be available exclusively with AVA tokens via the in-platform wallet, extending AVA’s utility as a preferred payment option within the ecosystem.

In line with our tokenomics, which sets out that “web3 products will be purchasable in AVA with contributions to the Foundation Reserve”, the AVA Foundation will allocate 20% of all AVA proceeds from both NFT offerings to the AVA Community Pool; the remaining 80% of AVA proceeds will be allocated to the AVA Foundation Reserve to continue the growth of the AVA ecosystem, including continuing to expand the AVA Smart Program via the introduction of additional perks for Diamond members and additional exclusive perks for Founders Edition holders.

50% of the royalties from the secondary trading of Travel Tiger NFTs on OpenSea and other NFT marketplaces will continue to be allocated to the AVA Community Pool, as with the Founders Edition Travel Tiger NFTs.

If any Travel Tiger NFTs remain following the two NFT offerings for Diamond and Platinum members, the remaining NFTs will be made available exclusively to Travala members who meet the eligibility criteria. Scaling the Smart Diamond Membership

The Travel Tigers launched as a small, exclusive NFT collection with only 1,000 items. Through the introduction of further NFTs and a 50% increase in the Ambassador Bonus, this approach allows the Smart Diamond membership to scale as the AVA and Travala.com ecosystems scale, particularly during this period of substantial growth.

The expansion will enable existing members to continue receiving top travel utility benefits while encouraging new members to join the flagship membership by being loyal members and participating in the overall growth of both the Travala.com ecosystem (by completing travel bookings) and AVA ecosystem (by interacting with AVA, the AVA Smart Program, and the Travel Tiger NFTs).

Further utility and greater value will continue to be incorporated into the Smart Diamond membership as the program grows, with more additions and continued improvements that enhance your travel experience.

FAQs

Is this a new collection of Travel Tigers?

No, the new NFTs will be launched as part of the same Travel Tiger Club collection alongside the original Founders Edition pieces. These Travel Tiger NFTs do not include the “Founders Edition” trait, meaning they do not receive the exclusive Founders Edition perks that will be introduced, such as exclusive bonus travel drops for Founders Edition holders and merch packs. Holders of these new Travel Tiger NFTs will otherwise receive exactly the same perks as Founders Edition holders.

How will this affect AVA?
More NFTs sold equals more Diamond members, which means more AVA locked. With the additional AVA lock feature for increasing the AVA Smart Bonus now available for Diamond members who hold multiple NFTs, this also translates to more AVA locked. NFTs only being mintable with AVA in both offerings provides further utility for AVA.

In addition to the AVA lock-up requirements, the AVA Foundation will allocate 20% of all AVA proceeds from both NFT offerings to the AVA Community Pool. The remaining 80% of AVA will be allocated to the AVA Foundation Treasury to continue the growth of the AVA ecosystem, as well as to continue expanding the AVA Smart Program, including the introduction of additional perks for Diamond members.

How will the Ambassador Bonus be affected?

The Ambassador Bonus percentage for all Diamond members will be increased by 50% from Q2 2024. This means that Diamond members who claim the Ambassador Bonus in July 2024 will receive the Ambassador Bonus at the updated rate.

Who can qualify to mint?

All Diamond members qualify. Platinum members who meet the following eligibility criteria will also qualify:

• have an active Smart Platinum membership
• spent a minimum of US$400 on bookings*, Travel Credit purchases or Gift Card purchases on Travala.com

*Any uncompleted bookings at the end of the whitelist period must be non-refundable in order to count towards the eligibility criteria.

How much will a Travel Tiger cost?

Diamond members will be able to mint at US$4,200 per NFT.

Platinum members will be able to mint at US$4,900 per NFT.

What payment methods can I use to mint a Travel Tiger?

Only AVA via the in-platform wallet can be used to mint during the Diamond and Platinum NFT offerings.

How does the snapshot for Diamond members work?

On the snapshot date of Tuesday 4 June 2024 7:00AM UTC, Diamond members will be allocated the maximum number of NFTs they’ll be able to mint. This maximum number is based on the number of NFTs in the wallet connected to each member’s Travala.com account and the amount of extra AVA they have locked at the time of the snapshot.

Example: a Diamond member who has 3 Travel Tiger NFTs in a wallet connected to their Travala.com account and:

• the default 2,500 AVA locked for the Diamond membership; AND

• an extra 2,500 AVA locked per additional NFT (i.e. 5,000 AVA for the 2 additional NFTs in this example)

will have a total of 7,500 AVA locked and be eligible to mint up to 3 new NFTs.

When do I have to meet the eligibility criteria to mint an NFT in Offering 2?

Members can qualify until the time the whitelist closes on Tuesday 18 June at 7:00AM UTC. Users can make bookings, buy Travel Credits and Gift Cards, and upgrade to a Platinum membership (if they aren’t Platinum members already) up until this time. Members will be able to whitelist their ERC20 wallet address once the eligibility criteria is met (provided it is met before the whitelist closes).

What purchases count towards the US$400 eligibility criteria?

All bookings—including flights, hotels and activities—made on the Travala.com website (desktop or mobile), app or any official third-party MiniApp count towards the criteria for minting a Travel Tiger NFT for Platinum members. All Travel Credit purchases and Gift Card purchases also count, regardless of whether they have been redeemed.

What’s the difference in the obtainability between the two offerings?

Offering 1 for Diamond members is a guaranteed offering, meaning all existing Diamond members will be guaranteed to mint up to the maximum number of NFTs they’re eligible for, based on the number of connected NFTs and locked AVA in their account at the snapshot date.

Offering 2 for Platinum members is offered on a first-come, first-served basis. Members who meet the eligibility criteria and whitelist their ERC20 wallet address will be able to mint one NFT each until 1,000 NFTs in total have been minted across both offerings. If the NFTs are all minted, members who whitelisted and did not yet mint will no longer be able to mint.

What happens if the 1,000 NFTs aren’t all sold during the two offerings?

If any Travel Tiger NFTs remain following the two NFT offerings for Diamond and Platinum members, the remaining NFTs will be made available exclusively to Smart members who meet the eligibility criteria. In this scenario, these NFTs will be available on an ongoing basis and will be priced at a premium to the other two NFT offerings for Diamond and Platinum members. More details will be communicated if this scenario eventuates.

Where can I check my progress to see if I meet the eligibility criteria?

Users will be able to track their progress via pop-up screens that will be implemented in all user accounts soon.

The feature allows extra AVA to be locked in multiples of 2,500 AVA per Travel Tiger NFT in the connected wallet. There is no limit on how many NFTs can be connected and therefore no limit on the amount of AVA that can be locked. Just as with a Smart membership activation, a 30-day minimum AVA lock-up period applies before the AVA can be unlocked.

For example, four Travel Tiger NFTs in the connected wallet would enable up to 7,500 extra AVA tokens to be locked (in addition to the existing 2,500 AVA already locked to activate the Smart Diamond membership) for a total of 10,000 locked AVA. This would attract an AVA Smart Bonus of 2,000 AVA per year (10,000 AVA x 20%), provided the requirements are met each quarter.

The requirements to claim the AVA Smart Bonus remain the same regardless of how much AVA is locked, i.e.:

• Complete the specified Contributor Tasks at the beginning of the following quarter; OR
• Spend a minimum of US$50 worth of AVA on Travala.com within the quarter.

Diamond members have the option to choose how much AVA they would like to lock in multiples of 2,500 AVA based on the number of Travel Tiger NFTs they hold.

Continuing on from the example above, a member with four Travel Tiger NFTs could choose whether to lock an extra 2,500 AVA, 5,000 AVA, or 7,500 AVA.

Depending on your locked AVA amount, any Travel Tiger NFTs transferred out of your connected wallet may result in AVA tokens being automatically unlocked to your wallet in your Travala.com account. If the member in the example above with four Travel Tiger NFTs had opted to lock an extra 7,500 AVA and decided to transfer an NFT, 2,500 AVA would be automatically unlocked. However, if the member only locked an extra 5,000 AVA and transferred an NFT, no AVA would be unlocked, as they would still have three NFTs which allows them to have 2,500 AVA locked for the Diamond membership PLUS 5,000 AVA (2,500 AVA for each of the additional two NFTs).

The AVA Foundation is pleased to announce that the AVA community has voted in favour of introducing the AVA Smart Bonus Booster, with an overwhelming majority of over 91% voting for Option B.

Smart members will now be able to receive an upsized annualised AVA bonus of up to 20% on their locked AVA amount with this initiative using funds from the Community Pool.

The boosted amounts for each tier are:
